PHILPOP 2015 OR HOW I BECAME AN INSTANT #JADINE FAN

UPDATED:

Since the video interview got cut, sorry guys low battery 😀 I’ve decided to research on how they answered the last question (what they did in San Francisco)….their answers below 😀

4 Photos, Almost 1000 likes and 6o new Instagram followers in one day.

I’ve posed with a lot of celebrities, (some even international stars) posted some exclusive photos, used several apps in true IGERs fashion, and almost staged my most suicidal post ever (attempting to eat #Garage88 12-wheeler burger in 15 seconds) and the most I got was a mere 20 to 30 likes.

Kapag hindi ka @Starmometer @Showbiznest, @LionHeartTV @RodMagaru or @OrangeMagazine levels on Instagram, you have to be content with getting a number instead of a long list of names liking on your post.

Had I known that #JaDine (Nadine Lustre and James Reid) would be my key to breach 200+ likes, I would have attended every press conference, concert, and set visit of these two young stars, or begged my friends at Viva to include me in their bloggers list.

I must admit though, that even if I had been covering the entertainment beat for the past 3 years or so, I wasn’t much of a fan of our local celebrities. Call me sentimental, but I still miss the Lotlot and Monching…errr i mean the Gimik and TGIS days, of Bojo Molina and Mylene Dizon and Bobby Andrews and Angelu de Leon loveteams.

Although now, I’m planning to join one of those #JaDine fans club, but I don’t think I’d be doing these kind of meme’s anytime soon.

Still, to keep up with my fellow #JeDen Lab Tem fans I did a bit of research on some #JaDine vocabulary and popular hastags from the JaDine wikia (yes there is such a thing!) and learned a few new words/phrases such as:

#LabUBebe:James tweeted in his twitter, “Sending a #LabUBebe Shoutout to @HelloBangsie! Hi! :)” and Nadine responded “Kilig! Mag #LabUbebe rin ba ako? Ano sa tingin niyo guys?”. The hashtag literally means, “Love You, Babe
8finity Kiss:literally means Eight Infinity Kiss. On James and Nadine’s first movie together, Diary ng Panget, there was an unexpected kiss scene. They had to do the kiss scene eight times until the director was satisfied with the scene.
15: means it’s JADINE Day! Every 15th of the month is a special day, because it’s JADINE Day. James was born on the month of May (5) while Nadine was born on October (10). 5 + 10 =15. Also, on Diary ng Panget, their characters, Eya and Cross were born on the 15th of October.
Basa-Tawa-Deadma: Literally means “Read-Laugh-Ignore”. This has been the motto of JaDines every time they see a rude comment about James and/or Nadine on social media sites.
Hayme: Hayme is a nickname for James Reid by JADINE fans. Nadine also said in an interview that she calls him this. counterpart of Nadya, Nadine Lustre’s nickname
JADINEhaler: JADINEhaler literally means “JADINE Inhaler”. This term is used by JADINE fans whenever they see a ‘kilig’ photo of James and Nadine.
JADINE Land:  JADINE Land is what the JADINE fans call their fandom. There is also a website that is titled “JADINE Land” which is dedicated to James Reid and Nadine Lustre. An app is also under production based on the website.
JeDen New LabTem: JeDen New LabTem is a hashtag trended by JaDine fans because of a ‘kilig’ incident a fan shared involving James and Nadine playfully misspelling their each other’s names under their signatures on a fan’s Para sa Hopeless Romantic Extended Version Book. also Jems Red and “Naden Lostre”
Nadinebulizer: Nadinebulizer literally means “Nadine Nebulizer”. This term is used by JADINE fans when they get excited and feel ‘kilig’ whenever they see a photo of Nadine Lustre.
OJD: OJD means Obsessive JaDine Disorder. JADINE fans use this term when they feel ‘kilig’ when they see Nadine and James. This term is related to the term, ‘JADINEHaler’.
Oxyjames: Oxyjames literally means “Oxygen James”. This term is used by JADINE fans when they get excited and feel ‘kilig’ whenever they see a photo of James Reid.
NADDIE-James’ new nickname for Nadine that started when they shoot in San Francisco for their new Teleserye “On The Wings of Love”. The fans and people first noticed it when James posted a IG post of Nadine with a hashtag ‘NaddieOnTheBay’.

Whew. Brain hurts. Too Much Information…need a Nadinebulizer or a Jadinehaler 😀

Honestly though, I admire the passion and support of their fans, so thank you guys for liking my instagram posts and even following me and as promised here are a few videos from the Philpop 2015 presscon as well as MTVs of Nadine and James’ entries enjoy!

CONCLUSION OF THE INTERVIEW

JaDine did some tapings in the US for their upcoming show On the Wings of Love.

Nadine said they had a lot of fun shooting in San Francisco and went to some of the popular destinations even though the weather was quite cold.

Nadine said they went to Napa Valley while James recalled he had a lot of fun driving a convertible along Golden Gate Bridge.

As for the shooting, Nadine said there were moments they got a bit shy and tensed especially when they shot some scenes at the Union Square since there were a lot of people in the area, it also didn’t help that she had to act crazy that time.

So what did James do to calm her down?… “Kinuha niya ang kamay ni Nadine, hinawakan ng mahigpit, tska hiningahan para daw ito uminit!” hows that for sweet?

As for their new series On the Wings of Love, Nadine said it was bit more challenging because they are playing more mature roles—before James cut in and revealed that they will be having a lot of kissing scenes!!!! (which he retracted and said it was just a joke)

On the Wings of Love will begin this July.

You have to give it to #JaDine though, they dont look the least pressured even if they are are going up with the likes of Side A, The Company, Jinky Vidal, and several Philpop veterans–they even seem to be the favorites to win this year’s competition.

Together with rapper Pio, James interprets  “Musikaw” by Melchor “MC” Magno, Jr.’s while Nadine teams up with Kean Cipriano to take on Mark Villar’s “Sa Ibang Mundo.”

Side A (minus Joey G) and The Company are OPM institutions for the past 30 years, and Ned Esguerra’s entry “For the Rest of My Life sounds something directly from a Side A album, while “Tanging Pag-asa Ko” has that haunting Company melody and the inspirational lyrics makes it an instant competition piece for groups.DSC_7732DSC_7739

Former Freestyle vocalist Jinky Vidal who will take on Soc Villanueva’s appetite inducing “Kilig.”

Christmas may just come in July for Gino Cruz and Jeff Arcilla whose composition Apat Na Buwang Pasko will be interpreted by veteran comedian and performer Jon Santos.

Former Little Big Star champion and ASAP mainstay Anja Aguilar interprets Melvin Morallos’ “I Owe You My Heart”.

Apart from Ned Esguerra, five other songwriters are either interpreting their entries on their own or in collaboration with another performer.

Former finalists Lara Maigue and Davey Langit are finally getting their wish to perform their own songs. Lara’s entry is “Nasaan” while Davey performs “Paratingin Mo Na Siya”.

First time PhilPOP finalist Ramiru Mataro is teaming up with social media sensation Donnalyn Bartolome in peforming “Walang Hanggan”.

And of course, 2013 PhilPOP grand winners Thyro Alfaro and Yumi Lacsamana team up with “X-Factor Philippines” finalist Jeric Medina in “Triangulo”. The official PhilPOP interpreters were presented at a press conference that also launched the official PhilPOP 2015 album (Viva Records).

In addition to Ramon Orlina-designed trophy, this year’s winners will receive cash prizes in the amount of P1million (grand prize); P500,000 (first runner-up); and P250,000 (second runner-up). All of the finalists will also get P50,000 each.

Following the album’s launch, the top 12 final entries are expected to be on heavy rotation on radio stations nationwide. Music videos for the finalists also produced by Viva will also be given heavy exposure on television and online. Philpop is presented by Maynilad and Meralco, co-presented by Smart, Spinnr and accessible through the PLDT Home Telpad.
