GMA Afternoon Prime takes pride once more in being the cradle of drama, where all the dramatic stars of the network are born as it offers Kakambal ni Eliana.
This Monday, April 15, GMA Network is all set to launch its newest Kapuso leading lady, Kim Rodriguez in Kakambal ni Eliana. Kim is now regarded as one of the hot properties of the Network. She recently won the New Movie Actress of the Year Award at the 29th PMPC Star Awards for Movies for the movie Mga Mumunting Lihim.
The series tells the story of Eliana, a girl who was born with a snake attached on her back. Eliana and the snake share one spinal cord. The snake comes out from her back and wraps itself around her hand every time she experience extreme emotions like sadness or anger. She will grow up alone, not knowing anything about the world and not knowing anything about her family because she was kept hidden inside a basement. However, when she was able to get out of the basement, she will discover new things and meet people that will eventually change her life.
Eliana first meets Gabo (Kristoffer). Gabo grew up in the streets. Even though he did not finish school, he is street-smart. He will do anything to survive. Gabo is the one who will help and be Eliana’s friend when she finally got out of isolation. He was not even scared when he found out that Eliana has a twin snake. He stood by Eliana and will eventually fall in love with her.
Meanwhile, Eliana crosses path with Julian (Enzo) when she and Gabo got separated. Julian is a budding photographer. He belongs to a loving family. He is quiet and reserved but expresses himself through his photographs. Julian has a girlfriend named Margarita (Lexi) but later on he falls in love with Eliana as well. Margarita, an aspiring model, grew up spoiled and is used to getting everything she wanted. She is very competitive and she’ll do anything just to get what she wants. When she sees Julian’s fondness and display of affection towards Eliana, she will eventually hate her and make her life hard.
Find out how Eliana deals with what life throws her way. Will she ever have a normal life and find true love and happiness despite having a snake attached on her back? Will she be able to have someone to accept everything about her? As the message of Kakambal ni Eliana says, “Ang matanggap mo ang lahat ng tungkol sa akin ay ang tunay na pag-ibig.”
In the series, Kim plays the role of Eliana. Playing opposite her are GMA’s newest leading men, Kristoffer Martin as Gabo and Enzo Pineda as Julian. While, Lexi Fernandez plays the role of Margarita, the girl who will be Eliana’s rival in all things possible.
