JOYEE Launches in the Philippines with Three Electrified Cars from ₱1.188 Million

A new car brand is giving Filipino buyers more choices in electric and hybrid vehicles. JOYEE made its Philippine debut on October 22 at the World Trade Center Metro Manila, introducing two SUVs and a flagship sport coupe with starting prices from ₱1.188 million.

The brand comes from FAWCAR, a wholly owned subsidiary of Chinese automaker FAW. Its initial lineup consists of the S04 electric urban SUV, S08 hybrid SUV and N09 sport coupe, with different powertrain options for daily commuting and longer drives.

FAWCAR says all three models have been adapted for Philippine conditions, including hot weather, heavy rainfall and urban traffic.

JOYEE S04: Electric SUV from ₱1,188,000

The S04 is the most affordable model in the launch lineup, aimed at drivers looking for an electric vehicle for everyday use and weekend outings.

Highlights include a 2,750mm wheelbase, a standard 1.2-square-meter panoramic sunroof with heat-insulating glass, and a 3.3kW vehicle-to-load function that can power compatible external equipment during camping trips or outdoor gatherings.

FAWCAR quotes a driving range of up to 565 kilometers and energy consumption of 11.8kWh per 100 kilometers. The body structure uses 73% high-strength steel.

JOYEE S08: Hybrid SUV from ₱1,628,000

For buyers who want electric driving capability with an engine available for longer journeys, the S08 uses FAW’s BMP Super Hybrid System.

The company lists up to 210 kilometers of electric-only range and 1,555 kilometers of combined range, with fuel consumption as low as 3.9 liters per 100 kilometers under battery-depleted conditions. Fast charging can take the battery from 30% to 80% in approximately 20 minutes, according to FAWCAR.

Cargo space measures 590 liters, expanding to 1,800 liters with the rear seats folded, giving the S08 room for luggage and larger loads.

JOYEE N09: Flagship coupe from ₱1,968,000

The N09 leads with cabin technology and is available in battery-electric and range-extended electric versions.

Its equipment includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P cockpit platform, AI-powered interaction, a 23-speaker Dolby Atmos sound system, frameless doors with power-assisted soft-close functionality, and nine airbags.

FAWCAR also lists an 800V platform with 6C ultra-fast charging, claiming it can add up to 325 kilometers of range in 7.5 minutes. Other announced figures include 0–100km/h acceleration in 6.4 seconds, supported by a chassis featuring 50:50 weight distribution and five-link independent rear suspension.

The range, consumption and charging figures are manufacturer claims. The release does not specify their test cycles or charging conditions, or provide a full breakdown of specifications for each Philippine variant.

The JOYEE lineup is available through authorized distributor Multifortune Motors Incorporated at 883 Quezon Avenue, Quezon City. Buyers can call (02) 8516-1930 for showroom and test-drive inquiries.
