Coconut wine for your next holiday gathering? Natural cosmetics for your beauty-loving friend? A few locally made pieces to freshen up the house before the relatives arrive? Your Christmas shopping list could take an interesting turn at SM Megamall this weekend.

The 2026 DTI-Bagong Pilipinas National Trade Fair 2nd Edition featuring COCONUTPhilippines brings Filipino coconut products into the holiday shopping spotlight. Running until October 25 at Megatrade Halls 1–3, Level 5, Mega B, SM Megamall, the fair gathers homegrown businesses offering food, gifts, and everyday finds. Admission is free.
And yes, there’s plenty to explore beyond coconut oil.
A little coco for everyone on your list
Shoppers can browse festive delicacies, coconut sugar products, natural cosmetics, kitchenware, and lifestyle décor from different parts of the Philippines. For companies already sorting out their year-end giveaways, the selection also includes curated corporate gift packages.

It’s a chance to get some Christmas shopping done while discovering Filipino brands you might otherwise miss on your usual mall rounds. Buying directly from participating businesses also lets you ask about their products, compare options, and hear what goes into making them.
The fair puts local “cocopreneurs,” including beneficiaries of the Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan, in front of shoppers and potential business partners. That gives your holiday purchases a connection to the people and enterprises behind them.
Come for the shopping, stay for the COCO Bar Café
Give yourself time to look around. Alongside the selling booths, the fair features interactive product pavilions, live culinary and wine-mixing demonstrations, and a COCO Bar Café.
Daily themed activities and educational business talks add more reasons to linger. Retailers, corporate buyers, and distributors can also join structured business-matching activities to explore possible partnerships with participating enterprises.
For the businesses, these conversations offer a chance to learn what customers want and fine-tune their packaging, pricing, and distribution plans.

Local products with serious selling power
There’s substantial business behind the showcase. According to DTI, the first edition of the National Trade Fair generated ₱129.69 million in sales, while the recent COCONUTPhilippines Trade Fair recorded ₱309.58 million.
This second edition aims to build on that demand as holiday shopping picks up, helping local enterprises reach more domestic buyers and prepare for export opportunities.
The Department of Trade and Industry organizes the fair through its Bureau of Market Development, Promotions, and OTOP, in coordination with the Philippine Coconut Authority.
If you’re heading to Megamall this weekend, bring your gift list—and leave a little room for something you’ll want to keep for yourself.
