Be Safe, be Secure with this virus/bacteria “Blocker” available on Shopee

When the COVID-19 pandemic broke out, one of the things you’ve probably noticed that a lot of people were wearing, besides facemasks, was this sort of badge attached to an ID strap. 

At first I thought it was just another accessory until I saw a post from a Facebook friend that was selling what was called a “virus-blocker.” Suddenly everyone was talking about it and also selling different versions of the product. And when I see a lot of posts it usually meant two things—that its effective—and that there is a possibility that there would be a lot of fake ones as well.

The “Blocker” I found on Shopee is from a Japanese company called Envroy and the store selling it is Blocker Asia.

The “Blocker” according to the description “Is your personal protective shield against airborne infections such as viruses, bacteria, mould and offensive odours. 

How does it work? 

BLOCKER uses a chemical compound called Chlorine Dioxide or ClO2 that sanitizes the air in your immediate surroundings.

Blocker employs a unique solidified ClO2 formulation. Chlorine dioxide or ClO2 is a chemical compound with a proven track record worldwide as the most effective agent against pathogens such as viruses, bacteria and protozoa as well as for sanitizing and disinfecting drinking water. 

A gas that is usually stored in liquid form, the effectiveness of ClO2 as a disinfecting and environmental purification agent. 

BLOCKER’S patent protected formulation has undergone tests to verify efficiency and safety for the user. It has been recognized by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the World Health Organization (WHO), and Japan’s Ministry of Health among others. It has also been patent protected in the USA and Japan.

While other virus blockers rely on “stabilised” chlorine dioxide as their primary active component, it actually has little ClO2. These products fall far short of the BLOCKER when it comes to establishing and maintaining an effective pathogen exclusion zone of up to 1 meter around you.

It’s wearable, portable, lightweight, and can easily be worn on a lanyard around the neck, clipped to the outside of a shirt pocket, or attached to a handbag or even kept anywhere close to you.

The BLOCKER can only used for 30 days once activated and that it is safe for Children (3 years old and above) and can be used by pregnant women. It has a one year shelf life from the manufacturing date (MD: 03/20/2020)
