It was truly a SpHOOQtacular day as kids dressed up as superheroes, princesses, zombie babies, a Green Ninja and an Angry Bird, joined the Halloween HOOQ Hangouts.
The young guests were treated to bags of sweets and a lot more treats from HOOQ while Kuya Mau and his puppets provided a few surprise tricks to keep them entertained as they waited for the screening of Monster House!

Produced by Steven Spielberg and Robert Zemeckis. Monster House was nominated for Best Animated Feature horror-comedy at the Academy Awards.
The pre-Halloween treat was the highlight of the third HOOQ HANGOUTS, the biggest outdoor cinema event series held every month at the Globe Iconic Store in Bonifacio Global City.
It also served as a teaser of what #KIDSONHOOQ can expect from the leading video on demand service which relaunched a new app interface and announced the addition of more child friendly content.

HOOQ announced that it is set to triple it’s library of child-friendly content in the last quarter of 2016 as it inked new partnerships with the biggest names in family entertainment: Nickelodeon, Nick. Jr., Kids Like Us, Hasbro, Turner and MoMedia to bring some of the most popular kids titles into is catalog.

Soon the younger kids can watch animated series such as SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer, Go Diego Go!, PAW Patrol, Littlest Pet Shop, My Little Pony, Mr. Bean and more on their parents’ mobile devices or tablets. Fans of HI-5 and iCarly will also be able to revisit their favorite episodes on the series.
“HOOQ is committed to delivering premium content for everyone in the Filipino family, and this includes entertainment for kids. This is why we are expanding our library to have over 500 hours of kids’ content over the next few weeks.”
“We are well aware that home viewing among young families is largely driven by children, and this addition of this huge chunk of family friendly content truly makes HOOQ a video service that caters to everyone whether they are looking for Hollywood, local content for themselves, or something fun that the kids can watch. Now every member of the family can enjoy their own favorites across multiple devices at anytime,” adds Cruz-Walker.
“HOOQ’s continued efforts to widen their library of content means our customers will get to enjoy more content perfect for the whole family. The addition for more kid-friendly titles means kids will be able to fully enjoy their mobile experience through entertaining and the same time educational content,” adds Globe Senior Advisor for Consumer Business, Dan Horan.

NEW LOOK NEW HOOQ
“October has been a very busy month for HOOQ, we also just unveiled our redesigned app,” notes Cruz-Walker.
HOOQ’s new interface boasts a mobile first UX that has been built from extensive customer beta testing and usability research to derive a customer-centric experience, given that over 80% of customers are consuming HOOQ on their mobile devices.
Designed with the habits of the social and digital natives in mind, this new mobile-first release features a brand new real time content feed and personalized recommendation engine that makes discovering new favorites easier than ever. One of the most exciting new features is the real time content feed that highlights HOOQs most popular content which shows what others are watching and which titles are trending. The new interface also allows kids to search for suitable content as there is a separate category for family friendly and animated content.
In addition to the current support of iOS, Android, web, Chromecast and Android Set-top Box, HOOQ will also be available on Airplay and mobile web as part of this launch.
