The Filipino filmmaking community is abuzz with the return of the Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival.

With a stellar lineup of films and millions in production grants, this year’s festival is poised to continue its tradition of empowering Filipino storytellers and celebrating the nation’s rich cinematic talent.

For the 2025 edition, eight filmmakers have been awarded ₱3,000,000 each to produce full-length films. In addition, 24 student filmmakers from universities across the Philippines received ₱150,000 each to bring their short films to life.This support is more than financial—it’s a statement of Puregold’s belief in the power of Filipino storytelling.
As Ivy Hayagan-Piedad, senior marketing manager for Puregold, shared: “After an intensely competitive application process, these directors rose to the top. We know they will produce exceptional work, and we can’t wait to see their stories come to life on the big screen.”

Mes de Guzman directs Sepak Takraw, starring Enzo Osorio, Nicollo Castillo, Ruby Ruiz, and Acey Aguilar.






JP Habac’s Olsen’s Day features Khalil Ramos, Romnick Sarmenta, and child actor Xander Nuda.
Tara Ilenberger’s Tigkiliwi stars Ruby Ruiz, Gabby Padilla, and Julian Paul Larroder.
Christian Paolo Lat & Dominic Lat helm Journeyman, a film starring JC Santos and Jasmine Curtis-Smith.
TM Malones presents Salum, with Allen Dizon and Christine Mary Dimaisip.



Jill Singson Urdaneta’s Co-Love highlights KD Estrada, Alexa Ilacad, Jameson Blake, and Kira Balinger.
Baby Ruth Villarama makes history with Food Delivery: Fresh from the West Philippine Sea, the festival’s first-ever documentary entry.
