National Basketball Association superstar Kevin Love was recently in town to take part in the Master Game Face All Star Challenge Year 2 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. The Minnesota Timberwolves player easily captured the hearts of local basketball fans as he got his game face on, thrilling the crowd with a display of his deadly accuracy from long range during the 3-point shootout and Shooting Stars challenge.
In the much-anticipated all-star game, hardcourt heartthrobs and Master brand ambassadors Chris Tiu and Marc Pingris went all out to coach their respective teams composed of PBA, UAAP and NCAA players who also came with their oil-free game faces on.
While in the country, the 6-year NBA veteran held a basketball skills clinic among 60 kids of the Manila Boys Town. Kevin Love was accompanied by Chris Tiu who demonstrated to the youngsters proper grooming through Master facial products, to always keep their game faces on.
The 6-foot-10 NBA power forward also led a charity auction at the luxurious Fairmont Hotel in Makati to raise funds for the refurbishing of a basketball court inside the Manila Boys Town complex. Auctioned items included autographed jerseys, shoes, basketballs and merchandise from Kevin Love, Chris Tiu and Marc Pingris.
Spotted during the auction were basketball stars Marc Pingris, Gary David, Jeric and Jeron Teng, JC Intal, Arnold Van Opstal, celebrity moms Tweetie de Leon and Danica Sotto, TV personalities TJ Manotoc, Boyet Sison and Jinno Rufino, Atty. Jose Midas Marquez, and other basketball aficionados.
