Mabuhay Palace ushers in the Mid-Autumn festivals with a grand family feast especially created by Manila Hotel Executive Chinese Chef Sun Bing.
From September 2 to September 14, 2011, guests can enjoy a special appetizer trio, crispy pigeon, stir fried egg noodles with roasted honey pork and Chinese green, Mabuhay Palace Chicken (two-ways), steamed live pit lobster in special garlic sauce, braised house special bean curd topped with baby abalone and shimeji mushroom, fortune wrapped fragrant rice, and assorted mooncakes among others.

Mooncakes at the Shangri-La
The Summer Palace at Edsa Shangri-La, Manila celebrates the “Chung Chiu” or the Mid-Autumn Festival
with a special moon cake offer for patrons. Available in five flavorful varieties – white lotus seed, red bean, mixed nuts, green tea, and chestnut – in beautifully crafted boxes, patrons can order the moon cakes until September 12, 2011, daily from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Moon Cake Counter in the hotel’s main lobby.
The moon cakes may be mixed and matched by patrons according to preference. Patrons also have a choice of four kinds of packaging so that the moon cakes can be given as gifts for families, friends or business associates.
Special Häagen-Dazs ice cream moon cakes in green tea, strawberry, macadamia nut and Belgian chocolate flavors are also available for à la carte orders in all restaurants. Likewise, the Lobby Lounge at Edsa Shangri-La, Manila offers a special Chinese tea and moon cake pairing from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. at P250++ for a regular-sized moon cake matched with a pot of freshly brewed tea and P350++ for the large moon cake served with a pot of freshly brewed tea.
As part of this celebration, Edsa Shangri-La, Manila also offers the Mid-Autumn Stay over, a room package offer until September 12, 2011. Guests taking advantage of this package can enjoy buffet breakfast for two at HEAT, a special moon cake gift box per night (containing eight pieces of Edsa Shangri-La, Manila’s moon cakes), unlimited in-room Wi-Fi access plus complimentary buffet meals for two children under six years old.
