LG Sakers visited the Philippines for a limited tune up games against local PBA and UAAP teams

The Changwon LG Sakers, a professional basketball team based in South Korea, is back in the Philippines for a series of tune up games against local PBA and UAAP teams. The team is based in Changwon and has LG Electronics as its major sponsor, which is also based in the same city. Justin Gutang, one of the collegiate standouts from College of Saint Benilde, also recently joined the Sakers. 

LG Electronics Philippines’ Managing Director Mr Sungjae Kim and LG Philippines Product Director Mr Changsoo Jang, handed over units of LG PuriCare Wearable Air Purifiers to LG Sakers headed by Head Coach Sang Hyun Cho, together with Justin Gutang, their Filipino player.

Lee Gwan Hee, who used to play locally for the Phoenix Fuel Masters, was happy to be back in the country. “I think both our PBA and KBL (experience) made it possible to level up in our playing field.” Gutang gamely talked to the media about his new stint for KBL. “It has been amazing so far, it’s a blessing.”

In a quick meet and greet event at The Arena at Kerry Sports, BGC, LG PH Managing Director Mr. Sungjae Kim and LG PH Product Director Changsoo Jang met with the team and gave all the players LG Puricare Wearable Air Purifiers to use while they are in the country. Mr. Sungjae Kim was excited about the visit, saying “We can’t wait to see more of these events in the future. Aside from honing their skills on the court, each team also gets exposed to different cultures.”
