Get ready, Metro Manila! The highly anticipated 2024 DTI Bagong Pilipinas National Trade Fair (NTF) is happening from August 21 to 25 at the Megatrade Halls 1-3 in SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City.
This event, spearheaded by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) through the Bureau of Market Development, Promotions, and OTOP (BMDPO), is a must-visit for anyone interested in supporting local businesses and discovering unique, innovative products from across the Philippines.
Showcasing Filipino Ingenuity and Innovation
Building on the impressive success of the 2023 Hybrid National Trade Fair—which generated over Php 42 million in sales and attracted more than 23,000 visitors—the 2024 NTF promises an even more exciting experience.
This year’s event will shine a spotlight on a wide array of artisanal and non-food products made from sustainable materials like bamboo, natural fibers, and native grass. Visitors can also explore unique food items, Halal-certified products, coconut-based innovations for medical use and personal care, holiday decor, home furnishings, and so much more.
Opportunities for MSMEs
Beyond the exhibits, the NTF offers invaluable opportunities for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to connect with institutional buyers through business matching and networking activities. It’s an excellent platform for entrepreneurs to expand their market reach and collaborate with industry leaders.
Special Pavilions and Highlights
This year’s fair will feature several specialized pavilions, including the Philippine Sustainability Pavilion, Coconut Philippines Pavilion, KAPEtirya Coffee Pavilion, RAPID Growth Project, and the Innovation and Services Cluster. These areas will showcase the best sustainable and innovative products the country has to offer, in collaboration with both government and private sector partners.
A Call to Support Local Enterprises
“The DTI-Bagong Pilipinas National Trade Fair is a testament to our commitment to supporting the growth and development of MSMEs in the Philippines,” says DTI Acting Secretary Cristina A. Roque. “We invite everyone to join us in celebrating the ingenuity and creativity of our local entrepreneurs and discover the best of what the Philippines has to offer.”
