Electron @12: Empowering a skilled Labor Force

We Filipinos have always been known for our resiliency, kahit saan nga daw tayo mapunta, kahit ano pa daw ang mangyari, hindi daw tayo basta basta natitinag.
Yes, we are survivors, and we’ve proven that time and time again, but there’s a big difference between simply surviving and striving to become a valuable member of the society– and that is where Electron Technical Training Center, Inc comes in.
For the past 12 years, Electron has committed itself to providing affordable education to the masses who want to be more productive members of the labor force.
In his speech, guest of honor Congressman Samuel D. Pagdilao, Jr. praised the husband and wife team of Dr. Dominador and Lea Solis for establishing the school and fulfilling the dreams of its graduates.
“I asked Dr. (Dennis) Solis about the secret to their success, and he quickly pointed to his wife Lea. And those close to them have witnessed how much they love and care for each other—just like how they care for the students of their school.”
Pagdilao then shared his own tips for success; “The first and most important, is HARD WORK,” he said. “I am certain that putting up Electron was not easy and I’m sure Dr. Dennis and Lea put in a long hours to make it a success. Another is THOROUGH PREPARATION, such as acquiring the necessary tool and learning new skills which you can get from the studying in school. The third is to have the RIGHT ATTITUDE toward work, and lastly is DO NOT FORGET TO SEEK GOD’S PROVIDENCE, to pray and ask for guidance.”
Held at the event center of SM Novaliches, Electron’s 12th anniversary likewise coincided with the opening its satellite school (Electron Driving and Computer School) located at the 2nd floor of the same mall.

“ELECTRON was established to help fulfill one’s dreams, and as the world is facing a worsening employment crisis, we want to equip our students with technical and vocational education and training (TVET) to ensure they become an important part of our labor force,” Dr. Solis said.
This kind of learning, he said, prepares people for specific trades and careers that are quite hard to find these days. This also refers to formal training and instruction for technical, paraprofessional, skilled or semi-skilled occupations, usually without requiring or providing a bachelor’s degree.
“We aim to provide rigid training that will bring out one’s potential, ability, talent and gain more confidence, Mrs Solis enthused.
“We often say, Kapag graduate ka ng ELECTRON, trabaho ang maghahanap sa ‘yo! and that is true since companies are always looking for specially skilled individuals and highly qualified workers.
“As Electron also offers a quality and comprehensive learning in a short period of time, with a little effort and less expenses, many of our students are able to join the workforce quicker and get gainful employment to help their families.”
Solis adds that there is also no age limit when enrolling in Electron and are utilizing a ladderized program that allows each enrollee to acquire specialized skill in any courses offered with a certificate of completion awarded after every 15th meeting thus qualifying them to work immediately.

And the best thing about Electron is that they also have the lowest tuition fee ever—and enrollees even get to enjoy refresher courses for FREE!
