Delgado Clinic introduces Optimal Birth Outcome (OBO) Program to mothers for a healthy pregnancy

Jesus Delgado Memorial Hospital (JDMH), or popularly known as Delgado Clinic, has been perfecting mother care for 70 years. The Clinic, known for more than a hundred thousand babies delivered under its aegis, has handled normal births to high-risk complications, setting its sights on personalized care for all mothers and ensuring the health and welfare of the newborn child

Dedicated to first-rate maternal health care and following through with its legacy, the Delgado Clinic offers the Optimal Birth Outcome (OBO) Program, a three day, free-of-charge workshop which educates mothers-to-be on congenital defects and how to eliminate these, premature births, newborn infections, and other chronic complications which may affect both mother and newborn child.

The Optimal Birth Outcome (OBO) is possible with minimal to no complications. The OBO Program provides added-value services in support of the basic and primary needs of every expectant mother. At the OBO Program, no mother and child are left behind; each and every one of them are offered the best physical and emotional safeguards.

Optimal Birth Outcome is a phase which is critical in the first 2 years of a child where he or she achieves the optimum development in cognitive thinking, as well as physical and mental development, both in emotional and social aspect.  Through the OBO workshop, mothers will be educated and guided on the right things to do for their child to achieve the Optimal Birth Outcome.  On top of the workshop, mothers will also get to learn the importance of Birth Education and at the same time will allow them to share ideas with other mothers through a related forum. All the mothers who sign up for the program will get the chance to bond with each other, share experiences, learn from each other, and even form a support group essential in guiding mothers from pregnancy to child birth.

An exclusive offer to all mothers who sign up for the OBO Program is the chance to get a First Time Mom Membership absolutely free of charge. The First Time Mom Membership gives mothers access to birth education classes, prenatal and postnatal classes, basic first-aid and CPR classes for mothers and their babies plus couples and nannies, special freebies from our partner Moms and Babies brands, and a free ambulance service for child delivery cases.

Focusing on the five scientifically proven aspects known to have a wide-arrange of positive effects for pregnancy, the OBO Program will be held in partnership with the Johnson & Johnson-empowered First Time Mom Unit (FTMU) facility. The FTMU facility located within the Delgado Clinic facility, caters to expectant mothers for their medical and hospital needs. Each of the five aspects will be thoroughly discussed by an expert medical practitioner during the three-day workshop to commence this coming April. The OBO Program is committed to ensuring that expectant mothers are well-equipped and knowledgeable when it comes to the essentials of motherhood prior, during, and after pregnancy.

Mothers who sign up for the First Time Mom Unit (FTMU) and Optimal Birth Outcome (OBO) workshops will also be eligible to join the “Bet on your D-Day” contest, an exclusive, fun competition by Delgado Clinic which gives OBO participants an opportunity to bag special prizes and win discounts on their maternity packages. The second round of the OBO Workshop will happen this coming April 21, 28 and May 5, 2018 at the Delgado Clinic at 7 Kamuning Road, Diliman, Quezon City.
