3D SHOT 2

The Vanilla Cupcake Bakery was a strange meeting place for tech journalists, but it was very apt for Cherry Mobile’s sweet new smartphone.

Only less than a year from the release of its ground breaking Android One smartphone in the Philippines, Cherry Mobile once again made noise as it unveiled the newest addition to the line-up, the Cherry Mobile Android One G1.FRONT1

Launched through an event last August 10 in Quezon City, with top executives from both tech giants on hand, the Cherry Mobile Android One G1 wowed attendees with its technical prowls and key features.

Equipped with an Android™ 5.1 (Lollipop) out-of-the-box operating system, users also receive the latest OS updates with guaranteed support of up to two years. Battery life is also improved in this latest device with its beefed-up capacity of 2500mAh, paired with the devices’ efficient components and software, to support its battery saving capabilities.

Also keeping it at-par with other high-tier smartphones is its 5” IPS display, protected by a scratch resistant Dragontrail Glass Panel. Snapping memorable moments are also made sharper and clearer with its five-megapixel BSI supported front camera, and thirteen-megapixel BSI supported rear camera with dual LED flash.

Staying connected, and meeting the demands of the consumer’s fast-paced lifestyle has always been the thrust of the world’s tech-giants in producing innovative devices.

This philosophy also holds true for the country’s leading local phone brand, Cherry Mobile, as they continue to make strides as it strengthens its relationship with Google™, with its Android One initiative.

Certified by Google, this latest smartphone boasts of a 1.2 GHz Quad-Core processor under its hood, backed by an Adreno 306 graphics-processing unit. An upgrade from it predecessor, it also has an increase of two gigabytes of RAM with sixteen gigabytes of built-in memory – which can still be expanded up to sixty-four gigabytes for added file storage space via a microSD card.
