Avril in February…

Expect another blockbuster evening filled with outstanding music and all out performance as multi-talented artist Avril Lavigne and her much-awaited Black Star Tourinvades the Smart Araneta Coliseum on February 16.

The 27-year-old sensation from Canada will energize her fans as she performs the latest singles from her album Black Star such as “Wish You Were Here” and “What the Hell,” and some of her chart topping hits from the past like “Girlfriend” and “My Happy Ending”.

Avril started singing in country fairs and in 1999, she won a radio contest and got the chance to perform with Shania Twain at the Scotiabank Place known then as the Corel Centre in front of a huge audience of 20,000 people. Her music career blossomed as she transferred to the USA to start working on her debut album entitled Let Go, which was released in June 2002, and is her highest-selling album with more than 16 million copies sold worldwide. It was followed by Under My Skin in May 2004 and The Best Damn Thing in 2007.

Avril’s Black Star Tourkicked off last on April 30, 2011 at the Yuyang International Ski Resort in Beijing, China which became part of the China Valley International Music Festival.  It has since made big waves in Europe and North and South America.
