Sasha Grey in Manila!

Filipino fans rejoice! Former Adult movie actress turned DJ Sasha Grey has announced that her world tour will begin in Manila on November 13 in Taguig, Manila!

Born Marina Ann Hantzis (March 14, 1988) Sasha Grey is an American former pornographic actress who has made the rare transition to become a mainstream actress, model, author and musician.

She first made her name in mainstream media after appearing on several popular television programs and in pop culture magazines examining her willingness to enter the world of hardcore porn at a young age. She has also been featured in music videos and advertising campaigns and has won numerous awards between 2007 and 2010, including the AVN Female Performer of the Year Award in 2008.

After her feature film debut as the lead in Steven Soderbergh’s The Girlfriend Experience, she shifted her focus to mainstream acting. She starred in the black comedy/horror film Smash Cut, and played a semi-fictionalized version of herself in the seventh season of the HBO television series Entourage. She has also appeared in independent films, such as I Melt With You and Open Windows.

After leaving the porn industry in 2009, Grey released her first novel, Neü Sex in 2011. Her second book, The Juliette Society was released two years later in 2013. Over the years she has appeared in music videos for such artists as The Smashing Pumpkins, The Roots, and Eminem.

On the last day of her tour, she will perform two concerts in Australia. The early show is in Sydney at Marco Polo, and the late concert is in Adelaide at the Zhivago. On November 23 and 24 she will perform on the It’s The Ship cruise. Other acts set to perform include Chvrches, Lil Jon, Dash Berlin, and Basement Jaxx.

Sasha Grey’s “Here I Am” world tour, will only consist of DJ sets. Her current single, “Heat of the Night” is a collaboration between her and Jayceeoh. It features vocals from Bella, and can be streamed for free on SoundCloud.
