Bern Baguio, Escana Boracay, Siena and Novus Prime Residences are interpreted through four immersive interior vignettes
A property development can look impressive in a brochure, but imagining what everyday life inside it might feel like is another matter.
Curated Spaces attempts to close that gap through four interior vignettes inspired by four emerging residential developments: Bern Baguio, Escana Boracay, Siena and Novus Prime Residences.
The property and design fair was organized by Inquirer Property in partnership with Brittany, Crown Asia and Villar City. Leading interior designers and architects were asked to interpret the four developments, translating their architecture, locations and intended lifestyles into intimate interior environments.
Each installation has its own visual language. Rather than recreating complete condominium units or houses, the designers condensed the identity of each development into a focused space that visitors can enter, examine and experience.
A different side of Boracay
Inquirer Property columnist IDr. Chat Fores interpreted Escana by looking at how the mood of Boracay changes throughout the day.
Escana is a 5.1-ha mixed-use leisure development planned to include mid-rise residential towers, a luxury hotel, private villas and a commercial village.
Pale and airy shades recall the brightness of the island during the day. Sculptural forms and darker details suggest natural elements such as rock and driftwood, while warmer tones evoke the atmosphere of late afternoon.
There are coastal references, but the vignette avoids the predictable visual language often associated with resort interiors. Its approach is more restrained, resulting in a space that feels relaxed without turning Boracay into a collection of familiar tropical design tropes.
Baguio beyond the obvious
For Bern Baguio, Inquirer Property columnist Ar. Ian Fulgar and IDr. Joy Ejercito looked beyond its Swiss inspiration and explored its connection to the Cordilleras.
Bern Baguio is a Swiss-inspired development comprising four towers. Its vignette brings together Indigenous-inspired materials, textiles, handcrafted accents and natural textures, positioning them alongside modern furniture.
Warm earth tones and deeper colors recall the surrounding mountain landscape and Cordilleran craftsmanship. The cultural references are recognizable, but they are presented through a contemporary sensibility suited to the development.
Pinoycore moves into the condominium
IDr. Migs Alcid used Pinoycore as the foundation for his interpretation of Novus Prime Residences.
Rooted in modern Filipino identity, Pinoycore takes familiar forms, everyday references and local sensibilities and gives them a place within contemporary design.
In Alcid’s vignette, these elements are reimagined as pieces appropriate for upscale condominium living. The approach fits Novus Prime Residences, a 16-story development situated within the University Town of Villar City.
Here, Filipino identity is not treated as decorative nostalgia. It is presented as current, adaptable and fully compatible with a contemporary interior.
The dining table as the center of the home
For Siena, IDr. Doris Dy concentrated on the dining space and the activities that naturally gather around it.
Siena is a 5.9-ha Tuscan-inspired residential development in Cavite. Its vignette uses warm tactile finishes, comfortable proportions and refined details to establish the mood of a home organized around meals, conversations and intimate celebrations.
The Tuscan influence is present, but Dy interprets it according to the habits and expectations of the Filipino household. The dining area becomes both a design statement and a practical setting for everyday family life.
Four compact visions of home
The vignettes created by Fores, Fulgar and Ejercito, Alcid and Dy provide concise expressions of the four developments they represent.
That distinction matters as property buyers pay closer attention to lifestyle when considering a home. They want to understand how a space will support their routines, reflect their personality and respond to the character of its location.
Curated Spaces gives visitors a chance to experience how Bern Baguio, Escana Boracay, Siena and Novus Prime Residences could feel beyond their plans and renderings.
The four vignettes can be viewed at the Curated Spaces property fair, which runs until Sept. 20 at Evia Lifestyle Center.
