Pay&Go Marks 11 Years With 4,500 Kiosks and Expanded Cash Out Services

Paying bills or adding money to an e-wallet is easy when you have a bank branch, ATM or reliable digital banking option nearby. But that access still isn’t equally convenient everywhere in the Philippines.

That is the gap Pay&Go has been trying to address for the past 11 years.

The self-service payment kiosk provider is celebrating its 11th anniversary with more than 4,500 locations nationwide and a growing list of services that now includes Cash Out.

You’ve probably seen one of its kiosks while doing groceries, buying medicine or passing through a mall. Pay&Go machines can be found in locations such as Robinsons Group stores, Mercury Drug, Alfamart, Uncle John’s, Lawson, Shell Select, Cecile’s Pharmacy, Landers, Ever and Ayala Malls.

From cash in to Cash Out

Pay&Go kiosks already allow customers to perform everyday transactions such as cash in, bank deposits and withdrawals, bills payment, e-load purchases and entertainment subscriptions.

One of the biggest additions to the network this year is Cash Out.

The service allows customers to withdraw funds through participating Pay&Go machines, expanding the kiosk’s role beyond accepting payments and cash-in transactions.

That may sound like a straightforward upgrade, but it addresses a very practical problem. Digital money is useful until you actually need cash.

Providing another place where customers can move between physical cash and their digital funds can be particularly useful in communities where access to bank branches or ATMs is limited or inconvenient.

4,500 locations and counting

Pay&Go’s network has grown to more than 4,500 locations across the Philippines over its 11 years of operation.

Instead of relying solely on dedicated financial locations, the company places kiosks in places people already visit, including malls, supermarkets, convenience stores, pharmacies, schools and government offices.

Its expansion has been made possible through partnerships with banks, retailers, telecommunications and service providers, entertainment platforms, academic institutions and local government units.

The approach makes sense: financial services become easier to use when people don’t have to make a separate trip just to access them.

It also gives people who may have limited access to traditional banking another option for routine transactions.

What comes next for Pay&Go

As it enters its 12th year, Pay&Go says it plans to continue expanding its network while deploying more Cash Out-enabled machines and introducing additional services and technology.

“By making daily transactions seamless and accessible, we actively fuel local commerce and empower communities by providing seamless, accessible solutions for everyday transactions,” said BTI Payments Philippines CEO Dan Ibarra.

“May this milestone inspire the team to reach greater heights, break new ground, and continue transforming lives through technology,” he added.

Pay&Go is also using its anniversary to recognize the employees and business partners behind its nationwide expansion.

Eleven years is a significant milestone, but the more interesting number may be 4,500. That many kiosks means Pay&Go is increasingly showing up where Filipinos already shop, commute and take care of everyday errands.

And with Cash Out joining cash in, bills payment and other services, those machines are becoming useful for something bigger than simply paying a bill: giving people another way to get their money in—and back out—when they need it.
