If you’ve ever opened a booster pack hoping for that one card… or sat through a match telling yourself, “isa pa, kaya pa ’to,” this weekend is basically built for you.
Geek+Pop is bringing those moments together in one space—no choosing between being a collector or a player, no separate events to plan around. On May 23 to 24, 2026, SPACE at One Ayala in Makati City turns into a full-on playground for trading card fans and fighting game players as the Philippine International Collectibles and Card Show (PICCS) and RESBAK happen side by side.
You can spend the morning hunting for cards, jump into a tournament in the afternoon, and end the day watching matches or just hanging out with people who get why this stuff matters.

For collectors, it’s not just about buying—it’s about being part of the action
PICCS isn’t structured like a quiet collectibles fair where people just browse and leave. The floor is designed to keep things moving, with a mix of booths, tournaments, and spontaneous activities that give both new and experienced players a reason to stay.
The lineup covers a wide range of trading card games including Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon TCG, Alpha Clash, One Piece Card Game, Disney Lorcana, Cardfight!! Vanguard, Flesh & Blood, and Yu-Gi-Oh!, which means you’ll likely find your game—or discover a new one—within a few steps. For those who lean into tabletop strategy, Unmatched and Warhammer 40,000 will also be present, along with miniature displays that show just how detailed and creative the hobby can get.
Tournaments run across both days, supported by side events that don’t require long commitments, making it easier for casual players to join in. Outside of structured play, the energy shifts into community-driven moments like box breaks, pack wars, auctions, and raffles that can happen at any point on the show floor. It’s unpredictable in a way that keeps things interesting, especially if you’re the type who enjoys the chase as much as the collection.
There’s also a dedicated Pokémon Hour, which brings together one of the most recognizable communities in the space and gives it a focused moment during the event.

RESBAK gives fighting game players a proper stage again
On the other side, RESBAK builds around the resurgence of fighting games, creating a space where both competitive players and casual fans can engage at their own level without feeling out of place.
Tournaments will feature titles like Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8, Super Smash Bros., Granblue Fantasy Versus, and Invincible VS, with additional side activities for players who want more time to play outside the main brackets. The setup allows for both serious competition and relaxed sessions, which means you can watch high-level matches and still find a spot to play without needing to commit to a full tournament run.
It’s the kind of environment where skill levels mix naturally, and where even spectators end up learning something just by being there.
CCEPlay turns the entire event into something interactive
Instead of treating engagement as an afterthought, this year’s PICCS & RESBAK is powered by CCEPlay, a platform that adds a digital layer to everything happening on the ground.
Attendees can participate in booth activities, scan QR codes, and complete tasks that unlock rewards, turning the entire venue into something closer to a live quest system than a traditional event floor. The idea is simple: instead of just walking around, you’re actively doing something wherever you go.
CCEPlay also extends beyond the event itself. Its upcoming Communities feature allows users to post, create polls, and interact with others across different interests, with activity translating into leaderboard points and potential rewards. It’s a way of keeping the conversation going even after the event ends.
There’s more happening beyond the games
Geek+Pop is also bringing in special guests, including a live performance from grindcore band Tubero, which adds a different kind of energy to the weekend and breaks up the rhythm of tournaments and trading.
More guests are expected to appear throughout the event for meet-and-greets and stage segments, giving attendees a chance to interact beyond gameplay and collecting.
A crossover that reflects how people actually enjoy the hobby
What makes this setup work is how natural it feels. The overlap between collectors and players has always been there—it just hasn’t always been given the same space.
Here, you don’t have to choose between spending time at a card table or watching a match. You can move between both, follow what interests you at the moment, and still feel like you’re part of the same community.

With support from partners like Oxley Grading, XURE App, LOADED PH, High Market Hobbies, Infinity Hobbies, Toy Shogun, XLNZ, Unmatched Roadshow, and Warhammer PH, the event brings together different parts of the scene in a way that feels active, accessible, and easy to get into.
Tickets are available now at https://geekpop.helixpay.ph/. If you’ve been meaning to check out the local scene—or just want a weekend where there’s always something happening—this is a good place to start.
