Watch, Plan, Go: Travereel’s New AI “Vicky” Turns Travel Reels Into Real Itineraries

Travel inspiration today often starts with a scroll.

You see a beautiful beach, a cozy café, or a hidden alley filled with street food—and suddenly you’re thinking, pwede kaya puntahan ‘to?

But turning travel inspiration into an actual trip usually means opening dozens of tabs, comparing hotel prices, building itineraries, and coordinating with friends. That’s exactly the problem a new Filipino travel platform hopes to solve.

Travereel, the Philippines’ first video-centric travel social network and booking platform, has officially launched Vicky, an AI-powered travel assistant designed to help travelers discover, plan, and book their trips faster and more intelligently.

The idea is simple: if travel inspiration now starts with a video, why not turn that video into a a complete travel plan?

Travereel blends the entertainment of short-form travel videos with the practicality of a booking platform. Think of it as a travel discovery app where watching reels isn’t just about daydreaming—it can actually lead to your next vacation.

Inside the app, users can watch travel reels featuring destinations, hotels, restaurants, and experiences. If something catches your attention, you can immediately book it directly from the video.

Now, with the addition of Vicky, Travereel takes that experience even further. The AI-powered travel assistant can generate a complete itinerary in seconds, transforming travel inspiration into an actionable trip plan without the usual stress of planning.

Meet Vicky: Your Personal Travel Concierge

Planning a trip today often leads to what many travelers call “planning paralysis.” Too many blogs, too many TikTok recommendations, too many places to visit. Vicky was designed to simplify that process.

Using artificial intelligence, the feature analyzes your preferences, budget, and trending destinations within the Travereel community to generate a fully customized itinerary. The system can instantly create multi-day travel plans complete with daily schedules, hidden gems, and local favorites. Hotels and experiences featured in Travereel reels can be directly added into the itinerary and booked immediately. The AI assistant can also suggest ways for travelers to maximize their experience while staying within their budget.

According to Travereel Chairman and Co-founder Ricky Sy, the goal is to make travel planning simpler and more enjoyable.

“Travereel was born out of a passion for making your dream trip easy and unforgettable,” Sy said. “With the introduction of Vicky and its AI-powered features, we aren’t just a booking app—we are a travel companion that understands your style. Designed to deliver ease in traveling, the Travereel app can be your all-in-one companion for any travel whether big or small.”

To demonstrate how the system works in real life, Travereel recently tested its AI-generated itinerary on an actual tour around Intramuros and Binondo—two of Manila’s most historic and food-filled districts. Instead of manually mapping out stops, the AI assistant automatically built a day plan that included heritage landmarks, cultural spots, and must-try food destinations. It’s a glimpse of how travel planning may soon work: watch, tap, and go.

Seamless Group Coordination with Group Chat and Split Billing

Travereel also understands that the best travel memories are usually shared with friends. But anyone who has tried organizing a barkada trip knows how chaotic group planning can be. Endless group chats, conflicting suggestions, and confusion about who paid for what can easily turn planning into a headache.

To address this, the app now includes a built-in group chat feature that allows travelers to coordinate plans, vote on destinations, and finalize Vicky-generated itineraries in one place. Alongside it is an integrated split billing tool that helps groups divide expenses for accommodations, activities, and even pasalubong purchases, keeping everything transparent and organized so the focus remains on the adventure instead of the math.

Empowering the Creator Economy

Beyond trip planning, Travereel is also tapping into the growing creator economy. Travel vloggers and content creators can upload their own travel reels showcasing destinations, hotels, and activities. If another user books a stay or experience through that video—or through a Vicky-generated itinerary inspired by it—the creator earns a commission. It’s a model that rewards creators for sharing authentic travel experiences while helping travelers discover destinations through real people rather than polished ads.

Travereel is now available for download on both the iOS App Store and Google Play Store. First-time users can receive a ₱250 voucher for their first booking. Those interested in exploring the platform can also follow Travereel on Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube, as well as on Instagram at @travereel.app for more updates and travel inspiration.

Travereel is a Filipino-owned mobile application developed by Selcouth Co. Inc. Designed as a one-stop travel solution, the platform combines the engagement of social media with the convenience of a booking engine, allowing travelers to discover destinations through real travel videos while booking their next adventure directly within the app.
