Before EDM (Electronic Dance Music) became a global trend, we had our UMD (Universal Motion Dancers) who popularized the songs Always, How Gee, Dying Inside, Get Down and many others led by former teen idol Wowie de Guzman.
On Monday, March 31, 2014, Wowie reunited with former group member James Salas as well as Manoeuvres lead Joshua Zamora and Jopay Paguia of the Sexbomb Dancers for the Ultimate Throwback Dance Showdown at the Trinoma Activity Center.
The “showdown” was organized by Neurobion as part of an advocacy to raise awareness for Neuropathy or nerve damage – a condition with symptoms like pamamanhid, tusok-tusok, and pangangawit.
Wowie expressed the sentiments of the groups saying they were happy to be part of such events as their groups have always been passionate about dancing.
“Dati sinasayaw ng lahat ng tao yung mga pianapuso naming sayaw. Actually lahat kami may nilabas kaming mga piyesa noon. Kapag natandaan yun ng mga tao, talagang markado. Kaya nagpapasalamat kami dahil marami pa din ang di nakakalimot dun sa mga sayaw namin,” he said.
Neurobion is a Vitamin B-Complex with Vitamins B1, B6 and B12 that helps maintain healthy nerves, promote efficient nerve function, and reduce pain in the arms and hands caused by Neuropathy.

Throughout the day-long event Merck, the company behind Neurobion, held free nerve clinics, games, with lots of freebies given away.
