PURPLE REIGN: Huawei Nova 5T Sells Out PreOrder stocks

When the first Nova smartphone, the NOVA 2i, launched in the Philippines in 2017, it sold 1,000 units in just one hour. Last year when Huawei released the Nova 3i, it set another record, selling a total of 20,000 units or around P320 million on its first day.

The latest #NOVAStar, the NOVA 5T, however, has already set a new record even before it becomes available today–selling out all pre-order stocks even before launch day.

That means if you are planning to get the Nova 5T today, and didn’t pre order, you wont be able to get those free stereo speakers (though you might be able to score different freebies instead).

But if you ordered at SM North EDSA, you might want to come even earlier instead– to get even more freebies.

Early birds who claim their pre-ordered nova 5T can also get either a Nova phone, Bluetooth earbuds, or fitness band on top of the pre-order freebies (Huawei Surround Speakers (worth Php 1,990) and a free year of iFlix subscription (worth Php 1,308). The first 50 will get a Huawei Nova 2 Lite (worth Php 8,990), the next 51-200 claims get Huawei FreeLace buds (worth Php 3,490), and numbers 201-300 gets a Huawei Band 3 (worth Php 2,490). Claiming of pre-orders start at 1:00PM.

The Huawei Nova 5T comes in three colors, Dark Black, Crush Blue and my personal favorite– Midsummer Purple which I feel best captures the Nova series new brand image.

The nova 5T packs a lot of serious tech underneath its sleek and slender frame, but it won’t be the spec sheet that’s going to catch the kids’ eyes: it’s that fetching sleek shade of chic.

Nothing stands out more than saturated hues; black is eternal, sure, but it’s too safe and low-key especially for Gen Z. Bold, daring, and creative the Midsummer Purple gradient is like announcing one’s choice to fearlessly express their cultural taste, be it fashion, music, movies, and anything in between. A statement of keeping one foot planted in the mainstream and the other foot on the experimental.

A flagship device for the younger generation – that’s how the nova 5T defines itself and the philosophy Huawei embeds into its design and development process. Through the use of stylish gradients, premium materials such as glass and metal, and ergonomic construction, every Nova phone exudes a trendy aesthetic bursting with color and personality.

Using a meticulous application of double-layered film and nano-diffraction technology, every color printed onto the phone’s frame creates a unique effect when the light hits it. The result is a subtle, yet gorgeous transition of hues with every little tilt of the device.

On top of the stylish color gradient, the nova 5T exhibits a monogram pattern of its name under a multi-layered holographic design. The monogram heralds the refreshed Nova brand, a signature imprint that separates the device from all others.

The nova 5T brings a bolder new look in addition to winning formula of flagship-grade features common only to devices with higher price tags.

True to the brand’s tradition, the nova 5T packs flagship-class specifications in a stylish frame without the hefty price tag.

Quad-Lens AI Cameras and 32MP Night Selfie Shooter

The nova 5T has a total of five cameras–Four AI-powered cameras ensure crystal-clear shots in any lighting situation, and a 32MP front shooter for Instagram-worthy selfies.

As the leader in smartphone photography, Huawei has upgraded the Nova 5T to a Quad-Camera System featuring a powerful 48MP HD lens for crystal-clear shots, and a 16MP super wide-angle lens for extra-impressive landscape images. Up front is a 32MP selfie shooter that’s as capable at night as it is during the day — Instagram-worthy indeed.

Quick Performance and Strong Power with the Kirin 980 and GPU Turbo 3.0

The Kirin 980 brings flagship-grade processing grunt and AI-powered smarts to the Nova 5T, enabling a super-fast and stutter-free performance across the board. There’s no shortage of speed with 8GB of RAM and GPU Turbo3.0 built in, even when playing graphics-heavy games like PUBG Mobile, Arena of Valor, etc.

The Kirin 980 chipset with 8GB of RAM provides no shortage of speed, and the GPU Turbo 3.0 provides smooth, console-quality graphical performance even under intense gaming sessions.
