PLAYSHOP 2012: MORE CLASSES, MORE TEACHERS, MORE FUN!

TRUMPETS Playshop’s bags are all packed and ready for Summer 2012!

The leading workshop in the country takes summer to a new frontier with “Playshop Camp: Express Yourself!” Inspired by the diversity and dynamics of recreational summer camps, this year’s theme is all about discovering every single Playshopper’s uniqueness, and at the same time fostering a sense of community with their peers.

Starting out in 1993 with only a few acting classes for kids, teens and adults, TRUMPETS Playshop has grown over the past 19 years by adding more and more classes to allow other God-given talents to be honed and polished. For this year, we are very excited to announce that we have even more to offer!

For those who love to dance, we are proud to introduce Play Dolls – a class specially designed for girls who want to take their street jazz dancing skills to a whole new different level – and Breakdance, where anyone and everyone funky enough can learn this totally cool art.

Another new class that is sure to help you express yourself in ways you never thought possible is Acting for Commercials. Open to everyone and highly recommended for aspiring and even professional models, this is where you get to learn what it takes to make it big when it comes to being a commercial talent for TV or film.

Vocal Performance for Recording is for folks passionate about the dynamics of recording, and keeping up with the Playshop seal of excellence, we have no other than Roy Del Valle of Noisy Neighbors Inc. and Jay Marquez of The CompanY taking over this class.

Now, if you’re the kind who’s serious about making people laugh or simply the class clown who wants to tickle funny bones beyond the classroom, then comedian extraordinaire Jon Santos’ Comedy Black Book – a one day intensive workshop about everything and anything to do with comedy – is definitely for you.

And speaking of serious, but still with a whole lot of fun involved, the legendary Starpower class of the country’s premier vocal group The CompanY is once again open to old and new Playshoppers who believe that they have what it takes to become the next best thing.

Alongside runway goddess Patti Betita for modeling and the high-energy Maneouvers for streetdance, film, television and theater veteran Icko Gonzales completes our roster of amazing and undeniably talented mentors as one of our Musical Theater teachers.

With our new and exciting line-up of classes and teachers, 2012 is sure to go down as one of the most exciting years in TRUMPETS Playshop history!

TRUMPETS Playshop is setting up its tents once again at The Podium, Alabang Town Center, Shangri-La Plaza Mall and Global City, calling on everyone adventurous enough to express themselves. So pack-up your bags and tie your shoelaces! Join TRUMPETS Playshop and start expressing yourself!
