ORANGE BLUSH SALON OUT TO CONQUER METRO MANILA

Last December 22, while everyone was busy doing their last minute shopping or planning how they could jump from one Christmas party to another, our group of bloggers headed  200 km North of Manila to the city of Cabanatuan Nueva Ecija to have our hair dyed or treated, have a manicure and pedicure or a foot spa.

I know, it might not seem like a good idea, with the traffic and everything, but getting to finally try out the salon we have been writing about for the past couple months was just too intriguing to pass up.

The trip took almost 5 hours but the sumptuous lunch they prepared for us at HAPAG VICENTICOS easily made up for it.

The salon we were visiting was the Orange Blush Salon, located at the lower ground floor of SM Cabanatuan. It might not ring a bell to Manilenos’–yet but this labor of love by owner Joby Linsangan-Moreno, has become a household name in the province and in other nearby towns.

The first Orange Blush salon opened in 2003– a big gamble for Joby who had just graduated as a Medical Technologist. “I  love going to salons! and wave always been fascinated by the science of making people look beautiful, that is why I chose to put up a hair salon business.”I loved the beauty business: Hair, makeup, fashion,” she told this blog during our interview. “I was curious as to how hair is styled, colored, treated. For me, the beauty business is the closest to my heart and I know that I will be at my best if I choose a business that is related to beauty.”

So when the opportunity to open her own place presented itself Joby didn’t hesitate. Using the P30,000 she saved up from her salary, she put up a small parlor/salon that would serve as first of 13 branches.

As to why she called the salon Orange Blush, Joby explains: “Orange has always been my favorite color. I am a very optimistic person, and for me, the color orange represents happiness, positivity, and optimism. It’s the color we want people to see (and feel) when they come to our salons; that’s why I chose Orange Blush Salon for its name.”IMG_0450

The salon’s motto—“Orange” is the New Color of Beauty”–identifies with what the color itself represents.

Now fast forward to last week. We were invited again by Ms. Joby, but this time we didnt have to travel to Nueva Ecija.

With enough experience on the business side and how to properly run a service-oriented hair salon, Joby transformed one of the rooms of Limbaga 77 into a pop up Orange Blush salon to treat media guests to a day of pampering.

It also served as a preview of things to come as the Salon is finally opening its very first branch in Manila. Ms. Joby disclosed that the first salon will be in Cubao, and they are already looking for other strategic locations for their next branches.

“The coming year 2016 is a very exciting and promising year for Orange Blush Salon’s expansion plans,” says Joby. “Our initial vision was to put up branches in Central Luzon area first, where we came from, and saturate it and become the best hair salon in the area; now we are ready to conquer the metro, carrying with us that unique probinsiyano brand that we represent. We have laid the ground work and plans for expansion in 2015, and I can say that we shall strive to be more innovative in our processes and services, and shall continually strive to become the best in our field.”

Orange Blush Salon offers traditional salon services just like any salon in Metro Manila–Haircutting, Hair Treatments, Hair Rebonding, Hair Straightening, Hair Coloring, Manicure and Pedicure, Footspa and Makeup—and yet it’s what Joby calls a “proudly probinsyano” brand.

“We want our customers to feel that the color orange, is the color of happiness, optimism, and love. Beauty for me is more than skin-deep. It’s happiness. It’s love. And that’s what we want to share to our clients as well. That when they come to orange salon, they see orange colors that represent our mission to each client: To make our customers feel happy and beautiful with their every visit.”

For the summer season, Orange Blush Salon is offering several “Sakto Deals” to keep your hair in tip-top shape .

“Just like with any other hair treatments, hair should be treated with extra care this summer due exposure to sun, to chemical-treated water, and salt water,” says Orange Blush owner Joby Linsangan Moreno

According to Joby, once your hair is treated—whether it’s rebonded, highlighted or colored—it should always be treated with conditioning treatments regularly to avoid hair dryness and split ends. One may be advised to have his/her hair rebonded, as long as hair is also treated with hair conditioning treatments like hair spa, hot oil, essential oils on a regular basis.

What sets them apart from other salons? “The best thing about Orange Blush salon is that we offer a warranty, a virtual guarantee that when a client leaves, you will do so feeling good about the time you spent there.

“The warranty means being responsible and accountable to do your very best at work, and to give your very best for your customers. That also means caring for the welfare of your customers, and that is what our warranty is all about; that we welcome our customer’s concerns, and that it is our main purpose to exceed our customer’s expectations,” explains Joby.

And they even offer free refreshments and biscuits to customers waiting for their turn!

To make caring for hair easier for clients this summer, Orange Blush is introducing three package deals at special prices.

Sakto Deal 1 (for P999) includes rebond with cellophane, keratin treatment, hair spa and hair shine treatments.

Sakto Deal 2 (for P1499) includes rebond with permanent color, cellophane, keratin treatment, hair spa and hair shine treatments.

Sakto Deal 3 (for P2499) includes rebond with Brazilian keratin treatment, cellophane, hair spa and hair shine treatments.

Aside from the above-mentioned packages, Orange Blush Salon is also introducing Cooling Hair Treatments to beat the summer heat, mentholated hot oil and hair spa, mentholated foot scrub and bright, happy colors for nails.

Further, all their services come with a warranty (to ensure that their services were done properly, and to ensure that customers are satisfied with the services), a biscuits buffet and orange juice for total comfort and protection of their clients.

With these packages, says Joby, you shouldn’t be afraid to have your hair treated, especially rebonded, this summer.IMG_0502 IMG_0486
