There’s a new force behind the force—and her name is Mary Rose Marbil. The wife of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief and current National Adviser of the PNP OLC Foundation, Inc. (PNP OLCFI), Marbil is redefining how we care for our uniformed heroes by putting wellness, family, and real human connection at the heart of the organization’s mission.

After leaving her corporate career in December 2024, Marbil dove headfirst into the world of police welfare—and she’s wasted no time in making her mark. With her signature blend of business savvy and genuine compassion, she’s now steering the foundation toward a more inclusive, impactful future.
From Club to Lifeline: A Foundation Evolves
What started as a small club has grown into a full-fledged non-profit dedicated to supporting active and retired PNP personnel—uniformed and non-uniformed—and their dependents. Under Marbil’s leadership, the PNP OLC Foundation has zeroed in on helping officers who need it most, particularly those battling life-threatening conditions like Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) and cancer. In fact, these two illnesses account for around 80% of the foundation’s aid recipients.

The LAB Virus That Spreads Love (Not Germs)
One of the standout programs under her watch is the LAB Virus Program—short for Love And Blessings Virus. No, it’s not contagious in the traditional sense, but it is spreading positivity across all 17 PNP regional offices. Through this initiative, the foundation delivers health kits and cash assistance—often in person—with Marbil herself hitting up to three provinces per week to make sure no one gets left behind.

These visits aren’t just photo-ops—they’re proof that support doesn’t have to stay in the boardroom. “We want our police to feel seen, heard, and cared for, especially those assigned to far-flung or underserved areas,” Marbil shared.
Promoting Healthier Lifestyles—One Meal at a Time
With stress and convenience often dictating unhealthy food choices among officers, Marbil has also taken on the challenge of promoting healthier eating habits and wellness. Think less instant noodles, more balanced nutrition and long-term wellness education. Because let’s be honest—serving and protecting the public shouldn’t mean compromising your own health.

Supporting the Families Behind the Badge
Of course, behind every officer is a family that serves in their own quiet way. That’s why the foundation is also focused on giving back to the “little heroes”—the children of PNP personnel. One early win? Partnering with the Quezon City LGU to reopen the Child Development Center inside Camp Crame. The center complies with the Early Childhood Care and Development Act, and ensures police children have a safe, quality early learning space right where they live.
Giving Back, One Region at a Time
Marbil’s passion is deeply rooted in personal experience. Raised in a family that valued service and generosity, she now uses that same philosophy to uplift others—especially police officers from remote or “laylayan” communities who often face the hardest assignments with the fewest resources.
“It’s a circle of happiness,” she says. “When you support the welfare of our police, they are empowered to serve the public better. Everyone wins.”

Her dream? To build long-term partnerships with private companies and foundations to ensure the sustainability of the programs. She also advocates for bigger budgets and better health facilities to meet the growing needs of the PNP community.
A Mission That Goes Beyond the Badge
As she continues her journey, Marbil hopes future leaders of the foundation will carry forward the same heart-led mission—one that puts people first and never loses sight of those who serve in silence.
Whether it’s healthcare aid, family support, or emotional upliftment, the PNP OLC Foundation under Mary Rose Marbil is proving that real change starts with compassion—and a whole lot of legwork.
