In Korean, Kalbi means grilled beef short rib. In Manila, Kalbi is the first and only restaurant to combine and offer the best of the Korean and Mexican worlds. Located at the 2F Food Junction of Citywalk 2 in Eastwood, Libis, Kalbi is the perfect destination for indecisive and experimental eaters.
Fusing Korean favourites such as Korean BBQ and Kimchi into Mexican staples like the taco or burrito, Kalbi serves delectable Korean inspired Burrito Wraps (with Kimchi Fried Rice, a fresh assortment of vegetables and your choice of mouth-watering Korean meat such as the Miso-Glazed Chicken or the 6-Hour Braised Pork), Quesadilla (thinly sliced bacon strips fried with kimchi and lettuce and topped with melted mozzarella and cheddar inside a crispy fried buttered tortilla), BBQ Tacos (a choice of marinated beef short ribs, miso glazed chicken, fried pork cutlets or other fillings topped with melted mozzarella, kimchi lettuce salad, cucumber and corn salsa, toasted sesame seeds and a homemade specialty sauce of your choice all layered on top of a soft tortilla shell), among others.
From the kitchens of two local and internationally trained chefs, Anderson Sambar and Jerome Lim, Kalbi was born from their hungry stomachs and love of dining out. “Our inspiration was originated from the local dining experience in California. We took the concept and made it fit for Filipinos, which meant more home-style dishes with rice.”

“Without sacrificing quality and still keeping budget in mind, Kalbi is the perfect spot to dine at to ease a grumbling stomach and wallet. Kalbi offers meals for as low as P80, which includes your choice of meat, soup, drink and unlimited Kimchi fried rice. With Kalbi’s large serving size, meals are more than enough to keep your tummies happy for the entire day,” Sambar added.
So, why not have the best of both worlds and enjoy a Korean-Mexican treat prepared fresh for you at Kalbi.
