myBusiness Day caravan kicks off in Northern Luzon to bring business opportunities, insights and solutions to SMEs
Globe myBusiness, the small and medium enterprise (SME) arm of Globe Telecom, remains committed in inspiring success among Filipino entrepreneurs as it recently rolled out its myBusiness Day caravan, a one-stop shop roadshow meant to educate SMEs on how they can become successful in their businesses. The caravan made its first stop in Northern Luzon in Cauayan, Isabela, considered as one of the country’s smarter cities as declared by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST).
Initially put together for Globe employees, “myBusiness Day” now pursues a more significant objective of going nationwide to extend its reach to more business owners and potential entrepreneurs as a one-stop shop for SMEs. From an exhibit of potential franchises and business tools to informative talks from business experts, the event paves the way for attendees to learn the ropes of being an entrepreneur as well as for existing entrepreneurs to discover the latest solutions that can boost their businesses.

Globe has long maintained a strong foothold in Isabela as part of the city’s endeavor to be one of the most technologically-advanced cities in the country. Over the past few years, Isabela has adopted ICT-based technologies such as the Electronic Government Application System or eGAPS, the Cauayan City Identification System and a mobile library with laptops and internet connectivity, among others.
With “myBusiness Day”, SMEs in Cauayan, Isabela benefited from learning sessions that featured topics such as entrepreneurship and having the business mindset; Loan literacy for start-ups; and getting started with Digital Solutions. Guest speakers included the country’s franchise guru and founder and president of GMB Franchise Developers Armando Bartolome, BPI Ka-Negosyo’s Gac Pagulayan, and Globe myBusiness Solutions expert Dani Gil.

Individuals planning to put up their own business were able to explore their options as well with franchise exhibits onsite. The event showcased Globe myBusiness’ portfolio of products to teach participants the latest trends in business solutions. Guests also got special discounts in support of local Cauayan exhibitors and their products.
“With the advent of the digital age, Globe myBusiness is here to remain as every SME’s trusted b
usiness partner by enabling them to adapt to innovative ways to run their business through technological innovations. We keep up with the surge in technological advancements to offer products beyond the basic core services of calls, SMS, and internet connectivity,” says Globe myBusiness senior vice president Martha Sazon.
Sazon continues, “With the myBusiness Day, we are moving forward with educating SMEs about various business solutions that will change the way they maximize ICT tools available to them. This is just the beginning of “myBusiness Day” and other key cities in the country can expect us to be in their area soon to help SMEs, especially the start-ups, gain insights about digitizing their businesses that will eventually help them succeed and reach global status.”
