I may not be that good of an English speaker to begin with, but just the same, I felt like Alice in Wonderland the moment I stepped inside the new Fossil Store at the Edsa Shangri-La Plaza.
FLASHBACK: I got my first Fossil watch way back in 1997, and while the watch lasted longer than that relationship, it was my introduction to watches beyond my swatch collection. I’ve always considered Fossil as a grown-up watch of sorts but I never knew they also made a lot of other items besides timepieces.
That is exactly what their new store is all about.. getting reintroduced to a brand that is rooted in a distinctive modern-vintage aesthetic.
FOSSIL’s has become a a cult favorite for its eclectic assortment of lifestyle and accessory items, including watches and handbags with nearly 400 stores worldwide and a strong e-commerce business
The brand carries that retail concept in its Philippine store aligning with its design philosophy that draws heavily from a wide range of American vintage influences such as refurbished fixtures and the brand’s famous tin wall.
The interiors at FOSSIL stores provide a spacious and inviting environment for shopping, while optimally showcasing the diverse styles carried by the brand.

Coinciding with the store opening FOSSIL’s likewise revealed its Fall 2015 collection that plays with our curiosity making it the perfect gifting destination for the holidays.
Discover the new retail feel, bags are totally deconstructed and even totally re-imagined in ingenious (ness) ways. Watch parts are under a microscope, sketches in mid-sketch, sewing machines mid-sew. It’s a real crafter’s vibe with twists and turns and pops of humor to be discovered in the most curious of places.

(His) Everyday Watch showcases the time-honored Grant collection inspired by the simplicity of vintage timepieces. The Grant watch has a classic appeal updated with modern Roman numeral markers and materials like stainless steel and soft leather. Bits, bolts and rich brown shades inspired by aged bourbon barrels are what makes the Grant watch stick, made to get better with time.
For athletic appeal, Del Rey Sport is in sleek black leather with rose gold case, while the Nate chronograph comes in stainless steel and acetate with camo trimmings. Modern Machine also capitalizes on the military trend with a camo-inflected steel casing and brown leather strap. (Her) Boyfriend Watch hails a return to the simplicity of good design and details by borrowing from menswear sensibilities. Not just for the guys, the Original Boyfriend has all the essential elements of a traditional tomboy style. Updated with a leather strap in cedar, the chronograph watch is set to become the most-worn seasonal essential.
The Perfect Boyfriend may just be a figment of the imagination but The Perfect Boyfriend Watch is a reality.
