Embarking on a flavorful journey that merges his passion for Pinoy cuisine with his entrepreneurial spirit, acclaimed actor and Congressman Arjo Atayde takes on a new venture with the upcoming opening of the inaugural satellite branch of Inasal Republic in Quezon City.

The origins of this delectable endeavor can be traced back to the shooting of the film “Topakk.” After wrapping up their shooting director, Richard Somes, treated the cast and crew to a feast featuring his family’s cherished inasal recipe.
Overwhelmed by the tantalizing flavors, Arjo’s curiosity was piqued as he observed everyone’s reactions around the long table. Eager to uncover the secret behind this culinary delight, he asked about its origins, and Direk Richard shared that it was a treasured family heirloom.
Inspired by this newfound culinary discovery, Arjo decided to bring this unique inasal recipe to a wider audience. To accomplish this dream, he joined forces with direk Richard and his group of passionate friends—entrepreneurs Mark San Diego, Ivan Villamar, and Arjo’s cousin, Gabby Atayde—to bring Inasal Republic to life.

During a food tasting and press launch event, Arjo said his family background played a significant role in shaping his culinary preferences. With his mother, Sylvia Sanchez, a Bisaya, their household was rich with traditional Pinoy delicacies, including tuyo. Additionally, Arjo’s youngest uncle grew up in Bacolod, exposing him to the authentic flavors of Bacolod Inasal from an early age.
On July 15, the highly anticipated Inasal Republic will officially open its doors at 25 West Avenue in Quezon City, captivating the local market with its irresistible menu. At the heart of their offerings lies the mouthwatering and succulent authentic Bacolod chicken Inasal, destined to become a favorite among Filipino food enthusiasts of all generations.
