ARCI MUÑOZ, ANGELI KHANG, NIJEL DE MESA ATTENDS GLOBAL LAUNCH OF “JING” SOCIAL MEDIA APP IN SINGAPORE

What if scrolling actually paid off—not just for a handful of influencers, but for more people creating content every day? That’s the idea Jing is bringing to the table, and it officially rolled out on a global stage in Singapore’s Marina Bay.

The launch, held on March 29 at Golden Village Funan, gathered creators, media, and industry players from across Singapore and Malaysia, offering an early look at a platform built around one clear direction: integrate monetization directly into the user experience.

The program was hosted by Swiss content creator Marion Muller, with segments from Singapore-based influencers Megan Foo and Kathy Wong. The pacing leaned into both entertainment and product showcase, giving attendees a better sense of how Jing plans to position itself in today’s social media landscape.

Representing the Philippines at the event were actress Arci Muñoz, Angeli Khang, and international filmmaker Nijel de Mesa. Their presence reflects Jing’s focus on creators who are already active across digital, entertainment, and content platforms.

At the center of the launch was a familiar gap in the industry. Social media continues to grow, but only a small percentage of users are able to monetize their presence. During his keynote, President-CEO and Founder Glen John Labasug addressed this directly, positioning Jing as a platform that builds earning opportunities into the core experience rather than treating it as an add-on.

Chairman and Co-Founder Jing Turla described the platform as “a deliberate shift in how digital value is created and shared,” with creators placed at the center of the ecosystem.

Chief Finance Officer Veron Valle reinforced that direction by highlighting the platform’s focus on long-term creator growth, aiming to support sustainability instead of short-term engagement spikes.

The platform enters a space where user expectations are already shifting. Creators are looking beyond reach and visibility, and are placing more importance on income, ownership, and consistency. Jing is aligning itself with that shift by offering a structure that supports those priorities from the start.

Jing is now available for free on Google Play and the Apple App Store for users who want to explore how the platform works and what it offers.
