Tucked on the 6th floor of Arthaland Century Pacific Tower, Apartment 1B x Elias BGC Taproom quietly celebrated its first year—and if you haven’t been yet, you’re kind of missing out on one of the more underrated hangout spots in the city.
Set in the heart of Bonifacio Global City, the space brings together two names that already stand strong on their own: Apartment 1B, a pioneer of gourmet comfort food founded in 2006, and Elias Wicked Ales & Spirits, an award-winning local brewery known for pushing boundaries in craft beverages.
The result is a taproom that doesn’t try too hard to impress—but ends up doing exactly that. It’s the kind of place you drop by after work and somehow stay longer than planned. Casual dinners, catch-ups with friends, even solo nights with a laptop—everything fits.
There’s a natural rhythm here. Thursdays bring DJ nights, Fridays shift into acoustic sessions, and daily “Hoppy Hour” from 4PM to 6PM comes with a free beer upsize. It’s open Monday to Saturday until midnight, making it an easy answer to the usual “saan tayo?” question.
What really works, though, is how the food and drinks play off each other.
Apartment 1B’s signature dishes are all here—familiar, comforting, and polished enough to feel special. Pair them with Elias’ lineup of craft beers, ciders, mead, cocktails, and other hard options, and the experience becomes something more layered than your usual dinner out.
“At its core, Elias has always been about pushing boundaries while staying true to the craft,” said Raoul Masangcay.
“This collaboration allows us to introduce more people not just to locally crafted beer, but to a wider range of beverages, from ciders and mead to cocktails and other hard options, in a setting that feels approachable and easy to enjoy. We’re excited to keep growing the community around what we do.”
On the kitchen side, the collaboration opens up a different kind of creativity.
“Our goal has always been to create food that feels familiar yet elevated,” said Nikko Roa. “Working alongside Elias gave us the opportunity to rethink how flavors interact—how a dish can enhance a drink and vice versa.
It’s also been especially rewarding to see guests rediscover Apartment 1B classics in a new setting, paired with craft beverages that bring out different dimensions of each dish. This first year has been an exciting journey of creativity, and we’re thrilled to keep evolving for our guests.”
Beyond casual visits, the taproom also doubles as a venue for intimate gatherings and private events—something a little different from the usual restaurant setup.
It’s still evolving, still growing its audience, but the foundation is already there: good food, well-crafted drinks, and a space that lets you slow down without overthinking it.
