LRI Design Plaza, the metro’s design hub celebrates its 7th anniversary with vibrant wisps of Filipino culture cascading upon innovative interior design and furniture.
On March 23, A fusion of art and sound will open the LRI Artist Series featuring Ani ng Dangal Presidential Awardee for Visual Art Rosscapili.
Rosscapili collaborates with OneWorkshop and interior designer Pinky Peralta in “ANALOGous: DeTubo + Debuho + Lumang Plaka + Bagong IDeya”, a marriage of retro and classic pieces that invites you to lounge, sit back, and enjoy the homey albeit nostalgic repertoire of sound and interior design. Peralta has six set ups – Filipino Vernacular, Casual Classic, Modern Funky, Bohemian, Post Modern, and Retro spread on the second floor. While guests lounge and walk about, they will be serenaded with tunes from vinyl records (long-playing record albums) and vintage deTubo amplifiers. The ambient exhibit aims to introduce these classic gems to the contemporary art and design scene.
A series of free lectures will be held on March 26 and April 2 – focusing on turntable set-ups lecture by Rene Rivo, a peek inside a vinyl collector’s world by Atty. Dante Pamintuan, and classic and contemporary imagery by Darrel Pobre and Rosscapili. Participating artists and shops include Eric David, Direk Raul Jorolan, The Room Upstairs, Heima Store, Hypertriode, The Analog Source, Cane & Hue Furniture, Tweak Studio, Audio Amplified, Living Space, Rega, OMO Furniture & Accessories, Triboa Bay Living, Noble Dream, House Gallery, The Designer’s Shop by Erfe, Seasons Fabric, Biara, Diretso, and La Brea Living.
