airasia aims to propel travel rebound, launches Super+ Pass

airasia furthers its efforts in supporting travel rebound with the launch of its latest product – the revolutionary SUPER+ subscription plan. The plan is available for purchase across Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines concurrently from until 02 April 2022.

The travel and lifestyle brand is confident that its latest product can aid in the boost of local and international tourism, especially for the destinations within the airasia network. AirAsia Philippines alone has sold more than 300,000 seats to date for its domestic flights from April to June 2022. The demand for air travel is expected to rise even more in the coming months with the relaxation of domestic and global borders.

The SUPER+ subscription plan is priced at PHP6,599 in the Philippines and can be purchased on the airasia Super App by clicking on the ‘SUPER+’ icon. Subscribers of the brand new Super+ Plan will be able to enjoy an array of perks that are sure to delight any avid traveler.

●      Fly anywhere with unlimited flight redemption across all AirAsia airlines (flight code AK, FD, QZ, Z2) across the region, for both domestic and international destinations.

●      Unlimited free delivery for airasia food orders across all countries and locations where the service is available.

●      COVID Pre-Departure Insurance Coverage

SUPER+ subscribers will be able to redeem their flights from 28 March 2022 until 27 March 2023 and travel from 11 April 2022 to 10 April 2023.

Subscribers can look forward to more benefits from across the whole airasia ecosystem that will be subsequently added as part of this subscription including discounts on airasia ride, airasia xpress, SNAP, hotels and more.

Subscribers are encouraged to avail the soonest as there are only a total of 200,000 SUPER+ subscriptions available across the four countries until 2 April 2022. All subscribers will also enjoy COVID Pre-Departure Insurance Coverage, which will allow them to claim insurance benefits in the unfortunate event of them contracting COVID within 7 days before their scheduled departure.

Amanda Woo, CEO of airasia Super App said, “Customers will get to experience the airasia Super App plus more with the SUPER+ subscription plan. This is indeed a smarter way to experience the new world of airasia as it allows the subscriber to fly anywhere, enjoy bigger savings and more rewards for their travel and everyday needs. SUPER+ is an unprecedented product in Asean which unlocks travel & lifestyle benefits like never before. We are proud to be the only super app in the market that is able to offer this one-of-a-kind subscription plan that includes both travel and lifestyle products and services, clearly positioning us as the preferred provider for the region.

“Air travel is on a strong rebound especially with various countries across Asean announcing the reopening of borders and more Vaccinated-Travel-Lane (VTL) arrangements. SUPER+ will certainly facilitate affordable and convenient travel for everyone to visit and explore the many destinations within the wide network connectivity of the AirAsia Aviation Group. Aside from that, subscribers also have access to the best of what airasia Super App has to offer through its various Delivery verticals across the region.”

Ricky Isla, chief executive officer of AirAsia Philippines, has also expressed optimism about the fast-progressing recovery of Philippine tourism. “The airasia Super+ plan comes at an opportune time. It is now more than ever that we must support all globetrotters in their quest to be back on the road and to reconnect with the sights and adventures present in airasia destinations, most especially in the Philippines. We’re expecting domestic tourism to be back in pre-COVID levels by Q3 2020, which we are confident will be beneficial to our economic standing in general,” shares Isla.

Flights redeemed via SUPER+ are subject to government taxes and fees, add-ons and other applicable charges. Flight bookings must be made at least 14 days before departure, and are subject to embargo period and other terms and conditions.
