After a phenomenal debut in 2024, MUPH – QC is back to find its next queen who will represent the city at Miss Universe Philippines 2025. On January 9, 2025, the pageant unveiled its 10 official candidates in a stunning teaser video that left fans in awe. Each contestant, dressed to perfection and exuding confidence, brings a unique story, advocacy, and a commitment to making a difference.
Meet the Queens in the Making
Among this year’s aspirants is Patricia Logdat, a seasoned pageant competitor from Brgy. South Triangle. Despite her petite stature of 5’5”, Patricia has proven that determination and heart matter most. As a cancer survivor, she advocates for health awareness through her project, “Bandana,” which aims to inspire and support those battling the disease.
From Brgy. Baesa comes Jamaica Sicat, a flight attendant turned student pilot. Jamaica’s journey to the skies is more than just a personal achievement; it’s a message to women everywhere that they, too, can conquer traditionally male-dominated industries. Her passion for aviation and education is bound to make waves.
Breaking stereotypes is Catherine Muguerza, a 56-year-old dreamer from Brgy. Sangandaan. Proving that age is just a number, Catherine brings wisdom and charisma to the stage, championing the empowerment of senior women and inspiring them to live boldly and pursue their dreams.
A Pageant with Purpose
Miss Universe Philippines – Quezon City is not your typical pageant. Inspired by Quezon City’s title as the “City of Stars,” the competition transforms its contestants into ambassadors of hope and empowerment. Beyond the glitz and glamor, MUPH – QC is deeply committed to creating meaningful change.
This year, the pageant has partnered with Voice For Change, an organization dedicated to supporting education for underprivileged children. Part of the competition’s proceeds will help send kids to school, making this event a shining example of beauty with a purpose.
Additionally, contestants undergo rigorous training in personal branding, advocacy work, and leadership skills, ensuring they’re not just pageant-ready but also equipped to make a lasting impact in their communities.
The Grand Coronation Night
All eyes are now on February 2, 2025, when the Grand Coronation Night will take place at the iconic SM Skydome, North Edsa. With a seating capacity of 1,200 and a lineup of star-studded guests, it promises to be an unforgettable evening.
Special appearances include Manhunt International 2022 Winner Kevin Dasom, former MUPH – QC queen Michele Gumabao, and Miss Universe Asia Chelsea Manalo, who will grace the stage to inspire the next generation of queens.
The winner of MUPH – QC 2025 will take the crown from reigning queen Cam Lagmay, continuing the legacy of excellence and advocacy that the pageant has established.
A Legacy of Excellence
In 2024, MUPH – QC set the gold standard for local pageants. It became the only city-based competition to attract sponsorships from major beauty and lifestyle brands. Online, it garnered 530,000 Facebook Live viewers and reached over 3 million users across platforms. On-ground, it left audiences inspired and entertained with its innovative format and meaningful advocacies.
This year, the stakes are even higher. MUPH – QC 2025 is not just about crowning a queen; it’s about lighting up the universe with stories of resilience, empowerment, and hope.
