Cole Haan: Aspire for the “Grand Life”

Brand Manager Jeff Paulino  Business Unit Head for Cole Haan, had only one piece of bad news for Pinoy Cole Haan fans after revealing that more than 40 new styles will be available as part of its new Lunar Grand Collection– they were only going to be for men.

Cole Haan, the iconic American designer and retailer of premium men’s and women’s footwear, bags and accessories was an aspirational brand for my generation. The brand has been associated with craftsmanship, timeless style and design innovation and its newest collection furthers that commitment.

For 2014, Cole Haan celebrates the “Grand Life” as it collaborated with three of the most sought after photographers and two notable visual and graphic artists in the Philippines to showcase the campaign.

Photographers Roy Macam, Jake Versoza and Tom Epperson; together with visual artist Robert Alejandro and graphic designer AJ Dimarucot displayed their works based on the theme: “The Grand Life” which featured select pieces from the Cole Haan Spring 2014 LunarGrand collection.

The Grand Life is Cole Haan’s way of encouraging people to celebrate one’s life. The theme was inspired by the many photos posted by LunarGrand fans on Instagram as well as in other social media wherein every aspect of their lives: from going to work to just having a relaxing sip of coffee, to the most eventful occasions such as landing their dream job and even to their own wedding; their much loved pair of LunarGrand was there to celebrate with them.

Robert A. Alejandro is a multi-faceted, award-winning artist, creative director, illustrator and designer who has made fighting against extreme poverty in the Philippines his life’s work. He used to be a former PROBE reporter and a host of a kid’s art show and is still co-owner of the iconic local brand Papemelroti.

What makes the LunarGrand so interesting is the fact that the classic dress shoe styles have been preserved and fused perfectly to a sneaker outsole that affords the wearer so much comfort even if one stays on their feet all day — it’s like mixing business with pleasure. This now iconic shoe, launched in the Philippines just a few years ago has become one of the most sought after styles worldwide and has found a great following in the Philippines.

Check out the latest collections of Cole Haan and the biggest styles of the Cole Haan LunarGrands starting February 12, 2014 in Cole Haan Glorietta 4, Rockwell Powerplant Mall, Shangri-La Plaza and SM Mall of Asia.
