From Bangs till Dawn: UNO goes playfully sexy

UNO Issue 92 Dawn Jimenez

I began my day with a blooper when I came up to Kim Jones and confidently greeted her…Hi Patti! (her co host Patti Grandidge in the ETC show)– and ended it with a more embarrassing one by calling Dawn Jimenez, KAREN.

I know, WTF Right? I guess beautiful women have that effect on me–  brings me back to my old highschool TORPE days– and just act dumb. (Just ask my girlfriend 🙂

Well, you try walking up to the microphone to ask her how she feels about smothering chocolate all over her body…

Dawn Jimenez first caught everyone’s attention in her brief but very memorable (read: Sizzling HOT! [with Hayden Kho voiceover]) scenes in the critically-acclaimed movie On The Job (OTJ).

In her break-out role during THE climactic scene in On The Job, a movie about prisoners exiting prison to become hired hit men for corrupt government officials. Dawn surprised everyone as she took everything off for her wild love scene with Gerald Anderson, whose character didn’t get any action for several months. Everything. She didn’t even leave the cover on.

Now you can erase all those screencaps of Dawn Jimenez’ scenes with Gerald Anderson obstructing your view, as she poses on this month’s cover of UNO and graciously shares her sexiness and playfully covers herself in chocolate.

“The shoot was really exciting for me coz I love chocolate!,” she tells a clearly mesmerized group of media (mostly men) during her UNO autograph session held yesterday February 26, 2014 at Powerbooks in Greenbelt 3.

For UNO’s 92 issue, she gets down, dirty and simply delicious for her cover shoot. Donning the teensiest red and black lace lingerie, Dawn nibbles ever so gently or sometimes fiercely on a luscious piece of chocolate in the photos.

She wasn’t afraid to get all wet and lathered in chocolate for this UNO cover either. Dawn, with a sweet smile that could melt the hardest heart or chocolate, is actually a lover of zombie movies, even the low-budget ones, a fact that will surely get many a guy’s attention.

“When I found out that the theme was about chocolate I got super excited. My favorite part of the shoot was actually when I was literally swimming in a pool of chocolate.”

Well, if the first few pages of Dawn’s body in chocolate, with chocolate, on chocolate still didn’t get your heart pumping (you must be cold-blooded then), perhaps the last spread will get a rise out of you.

Her willingness to be daring has paid off, as besides gracing her first cover she also nabbed an upcoming role in the ABS-CBN afternoon teleserye Moon of Desire with JC De Vera, Meg Imperial and Ellen Adarna..

She may have started sexy, but Dawn says she also wants to try other stuff to improve her acting.

Dawn. Chocolate spread ever so messily all over her body. And finger-licking. That should be enough right?

Well, the 92nd UNO issue also has some other articles that will get you excited and blood flowing to other parts of your body.

Like the Places to Dayo For, a food feature that takes you to different kinds of hole-in-the-wall restos from North, South to Central Metro Manila. If you are still hungry after this feature, you can go back for some more Dawn.

Impress your girl with your vast knowledge of wines, especially if all you’ve been drinking all your life is beer. Your wine expertise is sure to get your girl excited and more…fluid. UNO also interviews Atom Araullo, the big shot broadcast journalist gets intimate and shares about his rise to fame and how this alpha male manages it all: work, fame, and love.

So go ahead, feel free to grab UNO’s 92 issue. Everyone deserves a bite of chocolate-y happiness.

UNO Issue 91 Bangs Garcia

Valerie “Bangs” Garcia who was also present during the autograph signing said compared her first UNO cover from the other magazine shoots she had. “I really had fun with this UNO shoot kase lumabas yung mpagiging playful ko because I’m really a bubbly person. The challenge nga lang for me was how to stay sexy kahit medyo goofy yung mga poses ko because I was almost always smiling the whole time.  In a way, I hope it shows another side of me, gusto ko maging balanced ang character ko and I want to show another side of Bangs Garcia.

Her favorite pose? “My favorite was the one where I was wearing a tank top and holding a grenade.”
