Jennylyn Mercado’s new album Ultimate, Jennylyn Mercado peaks at #1 on iTunes

Fans have waited long enough, and if the charts were any indication, it certainly seems the anticipation was nothing short of remarkable.

“Ultimate, Jennylyn Mercado” peaked at the number one spot on its very first day of release in iTunes – the only OPM album thus far.

This marks the return of Jennylyn Mercado to the recording scene after two years and marks another feat in her career with her sixth studio album, “Ultimate, Jennylyn Mercado” released under Ivory Music and Video.

Ultimate, Jennylyn Mercado is a seven-track album which includes the carrier single, “Hagdan” and collaborations with Christian Bautista for a remake of “Suddenly” and “Bulalakaw” featuring Silent Sanctuary, a song which “imparts a sense of hope with a wish of finding love.”

It is also now available for download in Spotify, Deezer, Spinnr and Amazon. Other tracks include “Nakaw-tingin”, “Huling Paalam”, “Lampara”, and “Magkaibang Mundo”.

While she is best known for her soulful rendition of love songs, according to album producer and co-writer Jonathan Ong, the new music from Jennylyn is “still a modern pop collection of songs that reflects Jenny’s colorful and still unfolding story… the entire team decided to write statement songs like Hagdan and Lampara to portray her past hurdles, experiences and lessons learned.”ju_cdlyricf

Fans will get to spend their Friday night with Jennylyn when she performs her new music live for the first time on September 23 at Trinoma Activity Center with special guests, Sarkie Sarangay of Silent Sanctuary and Zack & Fritz. Event starts at 6PM!

Ultimate, Jennylyn Mercado is now available for purchase in all digital formats and record stores nationwide. Be sure to get a copy and replay her soulful music over and over!
