Toys “R” Us partners with GCash to provide its customers with a cashless payment system in all its stores. With over 400 brick-and-mortar stores and eight web stores that span across Brunei, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Macau, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand,

Toys “R” Us is the first toy store to accept GCash Scan to Pay nationwide.

A subsidiary of Robinsons Retail Holdings Inc., Toys “R” Us initially adapted the cashless payment through GCash in its Galleria and Glorietta branches last March 1, 2018. By end of March, all branches of Toys “R” Us will be accepting GCash Scan to Pay.

“Toys “R” Us offers a differentiated shopping experience through its family of private labels and popular toy brands. With the introduction of GCash cashless payment scheme in our stores, we hope to deliver a truly unique toy shopping experience to families and kids,” says Celina N. Chua, general manager of Toys “R” Us.

To use the GCash scan-to-pay feature, Toys “R” Us customers only need to download or update to the latest version of the GCash App in their iPhone or Android smartphone, register an account, and fund it through the GCash wallet at any of over 12,000 GCash Partner Outlets nationwide, including Robinsons Business Centers. Once done, the customer just needs to tap on Scan QR, point the phone’s camera at the QR code located at the Toys “R” Us counter, and pay.

Shop at Toys “R” Us and enjoy 10 percent cashback up to P500 until March 31, 2018. In addition, GCash will also give a 50% cashback up to P500 on your first transaction when you scan to pay this coming March 18.

Operated by Mynt (which is owned by Globe Telecom, Ant Financial and Ayala Corp.), GCash, a pioneer in electronic payments using QR codes, has been advocating the cashless payment movement in the country.
