Lyceum and Huawei signs agreement for HUAWEI ICT ACADEMY

Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider announced the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement with Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU).

Lyceum and Huawei signed an agreement for HUAWEI ICT ACADEMY. Huawei ICT Academy is a partnership between Huawei and Universities around the world. Through the partnership, the Academy delivers Huawei ICT Technologies Training, encourages students to get Certification, and develops local talents with practical skills for the ICT Industry and Community. Lyceum of the Philippines it the 8th University in the Philippines to sign up with Huawei.

Atty. Roberto Laurel, Lyceum President and Dr. Conrado E. Inigo, Jr. Vice President for Academic Affairs signed in behalf of the University. In an interview with Media, Atty. Laurel mentioned that the partnership is in line with the e-learning roadmap of the school towards the use of electronic devices inside and outside the classrooms. Further, Dr. Inigo mentioned that with the partnership, LPU graduates will be better prepared to face the challenges of the 4thIndustrial Revolution and be at par with their counterparts around the World.

According to Mr. Liguodong –Huawei Philippines Delivery and Service Head is thankful about the collaboration and partnership with Lyceum. It will provide students of LPU the opportunity to further their learning and prepares future talents to equip themselves with ICT Knowledge to support the sustainable growth of the Philippines. The partnership will not be possible without the assistance of Columbia Technologies Inc. (CTI) and GMSI. 

Huawei ICT Academy Program aims to provide the essential knowledge and skills set that employers require and increase job opportunities for new graduates.
