Four Sisters and A Wedding– and the Biscuit…

Apart from its five leadstars –Angel Locsin, Toni Gonzaga, Bea Alonzo, Shaina Magdayao and Enchong Dee, there was one other star in the movie Four Sisters and a Wedding— its the Rebisco Biscuits that brought the siblings together.

Early reviews of the movie were mostly positive with many saying it was far better than they expected and quite different from the  trailer, and a fitting movie to kick of the 20th anniversary of Star Cinema.

The one-of-a-kind family movie experience  also serves as a big “thank you” to all the  loyal customers of Rebisco for 50 years of patronage

The family ‘dramedy’ tells the story of the four Salazar sisters, played by Locsin, Gonzaga, Alonzo and Magdayao, who are reunited after their brother (Dee) announces that he will marry his girlfriend of three months. Despite growing up together, the sisters have drifted apart and the sudden reunion will compel them to finally face their unresolved issues and feelings towards each other. Veteran actress Connie Reyes will play the role of the Salazar matriarch while Cathy Garcia-Molina directs.

“Rebisco has been an enduring part of Filipino families in the last 50 years,” Rey Delos Reyes, Rebisco’s SVP for Marketing, said. “Our continued success and longevity would not have been possible without their support. As a brand that upholds the significance of the Filipino family, we thought it fitting to give them this unique token of our appreciation. It’s a heartwarming movie that the whole family can watch together and bond over.”He added, “We’re very happy about this movie. It features some of our finest actors today, with a blockbuster director at the helm, and more importantly, it shares the same values that Rebisco espouses—the unparalleled importance of family.”

In addition to co-sponsoring the ensemble film, the homegrown snack foods manufacturer has also lined up a series of commemorative events for its employees, consumers and business partners to celebrate its golden anniversary. “This year, Rebisco is all about giving back and giving thanks to our partners, friends and especially our customers,” Mr. Delos Reyes said.
