MARITAL infidelity has become the flavor of the month for local movies as two back to back films tackling the same theme have been released just weeks apart. Regal Films’ My Neighbor’s Wife grossed P25.99 million in two weeks according to news reports, while Star Cinema’s No Other Woman was greeted with long lines and sold out screenings during its opening day on Wednesday, September 28.
The heavy rains brought about by Typhoon Pedring might have prompted Star Cinema to cancel the premiere night of No Other Woman, but it only seemed to pique the curiosity of moviegoers as it sold out several screenings and became a trending topic on Twitter.
No Other Woman is compelling love-drama that delves into the realms of love, passion, deceit and obsession and brings together a cast of the country’s most desirable leads, Anne Curtis, Derek Ramsay and Cristine Reyes.
